On the noon of September 5th, the Student Union of the Youth League Committee of the School of Foreign Languages held the first plenary meeting of the 2022-2023 academic year in Room 3218. The purpose of this meeting is to briefly introduce the work content of the Youth League in the new semester and promote the smooth development of the work of all departments. Niu Jing, deputy secretary of the Youth League Committee of the School of Foreign Languages attended the meeting, and Xu Zhiyan, director of the office, acted as the moderator.
At the beginning of the meeting, all the members stood up and sang the song of the Communist Youth League. Subsequently, Liu Xianghan, the rotating chairman, explained in detail the main work content of the Youth League Committee Student Union in the near future from three aspects: welcoming new students, department recruitment and military training for new students. She said the college has set up welcome points under the dormitories for freshmen and recruits volunteers to help them carry their luggage, handle reporting procedures and hand out "gift bags for freshmen." Finally, she encouraged all the members to work together, improve efficiency, complete the work more carefully, and show the freshmen the good spirit of the students in the School of Foreign Language.
In view of the recent development of the league and school work, Niu Jing made a summary speech. First of all, she explained in detail the work content and requirements of each part of the freshmen report day, and stressed the importance of the orientation work. She said that this is the first important work of the Student union of the Youth League Committee in the new semester, and she hoped that every member of the Youth League will actively participate in, be serious and responsible, and show the rigorous work attitude and positive outlook of the Student Union of the Youth League Committee. At the same time, she hoped students can make good planning and publicity for the subsequent recruitment work, which will lay a good foundation for the steady development of the school.
