On the afternoon of September 5, Zhao Lingyun, secretary of the Party Committee of the university, led a team to inspect the work of the Institute of Chemistry for the opening of the fall of 2022, accompanied by the heads of functional departments such as the School Office, the Propaganda Department, the Academic Staff Department, the Graduate School, and the Science and Technology Department. All members of the Party and the government leadership team of our Institute participated in the inspection.
Qiu Baoguo, secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute of Chemistry, and Xiao Wenjing, president of the college, reported on the summer work of the college and the work plan for the new semester, and then gave feedback on the problems and difficulties of the Institute of Chemistry in teaching and research space, funding for discipline construction, talent training and enrollment, team building and other related aspects. The functional departments of the university responded one by one and said they would take effective measures to actively solve the problems in the future.
Secretary Zhao fully affirmed the development and achievements of the Institute of Chemistry in the first half of the year. The Institute of Chemistry had thoroughly implemented the work plans of the Party Committee of the University, and was smooth and orderly in discipline construction, science, and technology innovation, student employment, and laboratory safety. Secretary Zhao attached great importance to the difficulties and problems raised by the college in the in-depth development, and put forward specific requirements for the new semester work of the college in five aspects, such as new students' military training work, high-quality personnel training, breakthroughs in the three national awards, the university celebration and the establishment of the college alumni association, and stable employment of students, hoping to further promote the college in the new semester to achieve high-quality comprehensive development of all undertakings.
New semester, new weather, new outlook, new action, our faculty, and students will be more full of spirit into the work of the new semester, to accelerate the work of the Institute to open a new bureau and improve quality and efficiency.
