The Mid-Autumn Festival theme quality development activity jointly held by peer workstation of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and undergraduates of grade 2020 ended up with success at the classroom of N111 in the Nanhu complex building on September 12th Wang Rui, counselor of Grade 2020 of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Education, and all the students participated in this activity. At the beginning of this activity, student cadres distributed the material which is used to make lanterns to each group and simply emphasized the lantern production process and the production of matters needing attention. Then, students drew pictures on papers. Some painted the jade rabbit, some painted the moon, some wrote the good wishes of the Mid-Autumn Festival, and a variety of colors to make the original simple paper gradually plentiful.
After finishing the paintings, students took the wooden boards and painted paper in their hands, engaging in the production process. The original messy parts such as paper, wooden boards and tassels gradually transformed into the appearance of lanterns. Students burst into laughter in the activity scene from time to time with the warm atmosphere, every flexible lantern also gradually came into sight. Looking at their own handmade lanterns, students couldn’t put them down. He Shuyue who participated in this activity said:“when seeing the lanterns lighted up through my own effort, my happiness is beyond description and I hope that the wishes for the new semester written on the lantern can be fulfilled.
Small lanterns are not simply served as a holiday greeting, a holiday blessing, but a successful release of psychological pressure. And it also carries forward and inherits traditional culture as well. The Mid-Autumn Festival theme quality development activity not only narrowed the distance between the students, enhanced the relationship between each other, improved the collective cohesion, relieved the pressure of the new semester, and enhanced the students’ psychological quality, but also added a strong festival atmosphere for the Mid-Autumn Festival.
At the end of the activity, the counselor took a group photo with the students holding lanterns.
