Teachers and Students from Different Nationalities Visited the School History Museum: Enhancing the Inheritance Education of School History and Cultivating the Consciousness of Loving and Glorifying the School

Voice of CCNU On the afternoon of October 17, in the History Museum of CCNU, the “Harmonious Integration of National Culture” national unity educational studio successfully held the “Looking back to the school history, forging ahead -- activity of visiting school history museum” of the national communities boosting project of Red Pomegranate Growing Center. The participants included Alexat, Ankaier and Remilla three teachers, the core students of the 6th Red Pomegranate Growing Center and the student representatives of grade 2022.


Under the introduction of the commentator of the School History Museum, following the historical footprints of CCNU, teachers and students visited the one hundred years of glorious history of running the school and the tremendous achievement in the new century. During the visit, teachers and students listened carefully to the narration of the commentator, and stopped at an exhibition to look closely at the exhibits from time to time. The emulational school gate of Boone University, the reappearance of the westward migration of Chunghua University and the precious physical materials of school history aroused the students’ bursts of amazement. In the meanwhile, in front of the theme exhibition of Chunghua University, teachers and students hearkened to the stories of Yun Daiying, our outstanding schoolfellow and revolutionary martyr, from which they drew power to move forward.



After visiting the School History Museum, teachers and students came to the third floor of the school museum. Following the commentator, they visited firstly the collection hall of relics and then the collection hall of calligraphy and paintings. By touching the 3D modelings of cultural relics and watching various exhibits, students could get close to the cultural relics. Most of the exhibits were donated by celebrities from each fields and schoolfellows, which was the witness of the history, and carried the support and wishes of the elder generations for the education career of CCNU.



After the tour, we interviewed Ye Xiaomei, a Hui undergraduate student of grade 2021 from College of Urban and Environmental Sciences and Aliza, a Kazakh undergraduate student of grade 2021 from School of Marxism. Ye Xiaomei complimented the modernization and full sense of science and technology. Aliza thought that compared with learning the history of CCNU from books and internet, watching cultural relics exhibition in person could let her better realize the contribution to the school construction of ancestors, which left a profound impression on herself.



Through visiting the school museum and history museum, students from different ethnic groups had a deeper cognition of the school running process and Chinese traditional culture, which invisibly strengthened the sense of belonging to the school and the sense of pride as a student of CCNU. It’s reported that the “Harmonious Integration of National Culture” national unity educational studio of CCNU is attached to the Office of Student Affairs, which was formally  established in 2020. It carries out a variety of educational activities of national unity and progress for students of all ethnic groups. In the future, the studio will launch a series of activities for the core students of the Red Pomegranate Growing Center, to promote the cultural exchanges and learning promotion among students of all ethnic groups.
