The Voice of CCNU At noon on October 28, the joint lunch meeting of counselors and head teachers of Law School was successfully held in a conference room on the second floor of college. Yang Chen, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Ding Wen, President of the College, Xiao Denghui, vice president of the College, all undergraduate counselors and head teachers attended the meeting, and Wan Zong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, presided over the meeting.
All participants firstly study the spirit of the 20th Communist Party of China (CPC) National Congress Wan Cong emphasized that counselors and teachers need to take the initiative in-depth study the spirit of the 20th Communist Party of China (CPC) National Congress，and then guide students to study. Teachers should let the spirit into the brain and mind, and motivate the masses of young students to be strictly impartial and innovative,strive to go forward. Next, Wan Zong led the participants to study the Working Rules for Head Teachers of Law School of CCNU(Trial) and asked for their opinions on revision of the Rules.
In the communication session, head teachers and counselors exchanged their experience and feeling accumulated in their work practice, and discussed difficulties they faced in their work. Li Zhe, head teacher of Class 2103, and Huang Jinchi, head teacher of Class 1901 shared their experience respectively.
Li Zhe share his experience about accompanying students to develop and achieve success from three aspects: tamp study style , firm youth ambition; perfect the system, thicken youth confidence; and strive to build in daily life. He felt deeply that cultivating students was a gradual and silent action. He indicated that teachers should be guided by the important philosophy of Xi Jinping about youth work, put the spirit of the 20th Communist Party of China (CPC) National Congress deeply into the future of head teacher work and student work, and strive to build the class and league development and help students grow into talents on the youth!
Huang Jinchi shared more than three years of work experience as a head teacher. First, he organized the class work according to the "kindly men" role of head teachers. Counselors play the role of "strict men", emphasizing management, setting up authority and stabilizing order; while head teachers can play the role of "kindly men", focusing on communication, cultivating friendship and going deep into students’ life. Secondly, head teachers should plan activities according to development stage and individual differences of students, and strive to achieve diversified activity types, diversified activity purposes, full participation of students, effective work results and low cost of students’ input. Third, head teachers and other departments of the college should distinguish and cooperate with each other, forming a force for education.
The leaders at the meeting responded and communicated with each other on the relevant questions raised by head teachers. Xiao Tenghui had served as head teachers for three terms. He felt the same for all speech. He believed that being head teachers was very hard and their work was very important for the cultivation of undergraduate talents. Ding Wen shared his understanding of students' work and asked the counselors and head teachers to fully understand the significance of their work and strive to be leaders of young students with heart and feeling.
In his concluding speech, Yang Chen praised hard work of all head teachers and hoped that everyone could fully understand the important role and significance of work of head teachers in work of cultivating virtues and talents in universities. Give full play to the role of head teachers and escort students to become talents while strengthening the coordination and communication (strengthen the coordination with counselors; strengthen communication with other head teachers; more detailed and warm communication with students) Yang Chen said that the College would further provide good services for the work of head teachers. He hoped that everyone could clearly define their roles and do a good job in the work of head teachers.
This lunch meeting further clarified the work content, work mechanism and assessment requirements of head teachers, effectively strengthened the role positioning of counselors and head teachers in class and grade construction and talent training, and played a helpful role in building a long-term mechanism of learning style construction and improving work efficiency of students' work team. Under the leadership of the College Party Committee, the student work team would conscientiously study, publicize and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, carry out the "warm education", keep the students' heart with practical actions, and enhance the students' sense of security, sense of gain and happiness.
