The Voice of CCNU On the afternoon of October 29th, the joint theme class meeting for students of the Targeted Teacher Training Plan of grade 2021, 2022, 2023 of College of Physical Science and Technology was held in the Lecture Hall 9557. The theme of this class meeting is “Striving Forward”, aiming to solve students’ difficulties in academy and life through experience sharing and teacher-student communication, and to encourage them to actively move forward in their future. Wu Shaoping, Vice President and teacher in charge of 2022 “Targeted Teacher Training Plan” class, Ma Ying, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the college, counselors Jiang Chunyong, Liu Jinrui, Yan Ruixue, and all students under the Targeted Teacher Training Plan participated in the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Liu Jinrui, the counselor of grade 2022.
Jiang Chunyong, the counselor of grade 2021, and Liu Jinrui, the counselor of grade 2022, respectively summarized the political and ideological performance, academic performance, and scientific and technology innovation practice activities of students under the Targeted Teacher Training Plan in the previous academic year. Jiang Chunyong affirmed the academic progress of students and analyzed their current learning situation. He hoped that students could cherish their time, correct their attitude, and achieve satisfactory results in the course assessment. Liu Jinrui affirmed the performance of the students in various activities in the previous academic year and hoped that they could continue to make efforts, and work together towards higher goals. Yan Ruixue introduced the overview of students under the Targeted Teacher Training Plan of grade 2023 and praised their excellent behaviour during military training. He wished that students could adapt to university life as soon as possible and make achievements in various aspects.
Yang Zhuzhu and Zhan Xinlin, representatives of the 2021 and 2022 “Targeted Teacher Training Plan” students, shared their learning experiences in the course with the students on site. Yang Zhuzhu shared in three aspects: learning, activities, and daily life. She took electromagnetics as an example, from “what to learn”to “how to learn”in physics courses, she provided a detailed introduction to the relationship between mathematical knowledge and physics learning. While sharing her own learning experience, she also encouraged students to participate in student activities and competitions. Zhan Xinlin shard her mental journey when entering university and suggested students to arrange their time reasonably and master methods, balance work and rest, and love life.
All the students were given two books: The Purpose of Education and The Calculus Gallery, with the purpose of encouraging them to overcome difficulties and keep making progress.
During the communication and interaction session, students actively asked questions around the issues they care about, such as the “Targeted Teacher Training Plan” policy, the teacher qualification certificate examination, internships. The leaders and teachers on site answered in detailed and provided suggestions to solve students’ doubts.
Wu Shaoping sent a message to all students under the “Targeted Teacher Training Plan”. He hoped that students of grade 2023 could quickly adapt to the learning style in university, expand their horizons, and develop in all aspects. He also expressed the wish that students of grade 2021 and 2022 could summarize the past, plan for the future, have a clear goal, learn from experiences, and further improve themselves.
Ma Ying, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, summarized the class meeting. She started from the President Xi Jinping’s reply to the students under the “Targeted Teacher Training Plan” in 2022, and introduced the main work done by the school and the college in recent years in the cultivation of students. She hoped that students could cherish learning opportunities and cultivate a sense of mission and responsibility in learning. Ma Ying suggested that students continuously set and achieve small goals by updating their resumes every academic year, fully utilize resources and platforms, set high standards and strict requirements for themselves, and zealously seek comprehensive development.
