First of all, Meihozhiguli reported the situation of the university's ethnic work in the first half of 2024, reviewing the “Chinese Culture Exchange Festival”, “Silk Road - Dreaming - Social Practices”, “Home Visits to Border Students” and other brand-name activities of the university and thanked all the cultivation units for their support to the university's ethnic work. Afterward, each college exchanged and shared information on the development of ethnic work and discussed important and difficult issues. Qin Yuqin, a full-time counselor at the School of History and Culture, put forward the concept of “with heart, with emotion, with love” in her years of experience in student work. Fang Qian, a part-time counselor of the School of Marxism, exchanged views with the teachers on how to do a good job in the academic career planning of ethnic students. He Qingmiao, counselor of the School of Law, shared the successful experience of the school in carrying out the theme of national unity education activities and invited the teachers to participate in the “national unity to celebrate the Chinese New Year, hand in hand to build China's dream” National Day Parade organized by the school. Wu Shuangxin, host of the Red Pomegranate Ethnic Workshop of the School of Chemistry, reported the work plan and activity arrangement of the workshop this semester, which was actively discussed by the attending teachers and received a warm response.
Next, Meihozhiguli introduced the university's arrangements for ethnic work in the fall semester of 2024: this semester, the university's national unity education work will continue to adhere to the deepening of ideological value leadership, with the development of the “Introduction to the Chinese National Community” course as an opportunity to consolidate the foundations of the education of the consciousness of the Chinese national community, the implementation of the students of all nationalities “ideological help, academic help, economic assistance, psychological assistance, and employment assistance”, encouraging each training unit to carry out diversified, all-round and in-depth thematic educational activities in the House of National Unity and Progress of the University of China, and inviting the participating teachers to actively organize and participate in the sixth series of activities of Career Navigator Month for Ethnic Minority Students.
