The Voice of CCNUDuring the occasion of the National Day festival, in order to do a good job in the temperature of education, carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture, we pay tribute to the 75th anniversary of the founding of the motherland. At 19: 00 on September 27th, the 12th "Painting with Paint, Fans Song for Mountains and Rivers" activity of One-Stop Community "Heart Motivation Happiness Evening School" was successfully held in the Party Group Activity Room of One-Stop Student Service Community Center (East 18). The activity was led by the peer mentor of the Psychology Association and the "Heart Power", Zhang Wenshuo, and 20 students from all colleges and universities participated in this activity. They all has been creative, using a variety of colors to leave a touch of vivid paint on the fans.
Beneath the enchanting hues lies a radiant culture
At the beginning of the activity, the leader explained the historical culture behind the varnished fan. As the leader told us, we explored the journey of the lacquer time —— each dip and dye represents the traditional cycle of the years; each brushstroke and twist contains the accumulation of culture.
Capture a splash of your own color with your hands
After the leader told us how to make a varnished fan, then soon came to the exciting hands-on practice session. Use varnish as a pen, and use water as a medium. The students poured their favorite colors on the water, adjusted the shape with a stick, and slowly put the fan into the water. Some students carefully used a stick outline charming patterns on the water; some behaved freely, pursue the essence of nature；some tilted the fan surface at a 45-degree angle into the water, creating a splendid side; and some adopted the ancient "Z" technique, shaking out rhythmic waves. "Dye clouds into willow leaves, and cut water into pear blossoms. If not for the clever spring breeze, how could we have the years' grace?" The "gold-plated red glow," "lush forest sea," or "Dunhuang Flying Apsaras" and "Morandi color series" left on the fans’ surface all demonstrated the individuality and creativity of the participants.
Fans dance with ink to portray ancient elegance, painting youth with the charm of ink-stained beauty
After the lacquered fans were completed and the water on the fans’ surface had dried, everyone eagerly inscribed words on them. There were elegant ancient phrases such as "Spring blessings, summer peace, autumn tranquility, winter joy." and heartfelt expressions of patriotism like "Celebrating National Day, and wishing our country prosperity and flourishing." Some expressed their aspirations with "Landing!" while others offered wise admonitions like "Calmness leads to greatness." Every word and sentence was filled with blessings, and every stroke and line concealed hearts filled with prayers. The students all expressed that they would pass on these beautiful blessings to their friends and dedicate their sincere wishes to the vast expanse of the motherland.
Paint with Lacquer, Celebrate the Mountains and Riverswith Fans
This "Heart Power · Happy Night School" event of the One-Stop Student Community Service Center (East 18) titled "Paint with Lacquer, Celebrate the Mountains and Rivers with Fans," allowed students to relax their minds and bodies after their busy studies, spread warmth, and pay tribute to the 75th anniversary of the founding of the motherland with the elegance of traditional craftsmanship and the beauty of Chinese culture.
