In conclusion, Yang Jun delivered a summary speech. He imparted to the new students that they should: first, cherish time and plan efficiently; second, integrate widely and help each other to make progress; third, unite and strive to deepen their feelings. Under the influence of multiculturalism, they should be more open and tolerant, brave in exploring the unknown, and daring in challenging themselves. They should strive to become well-rounded socialist builders and successors with moral, intellectual, physical, and aesthetic development, and labor skills. They should have a realm in their hearts, a world in their eyes, and a pattern in their actions, becoming practitioners and disseminators of the common consciousness of the Chinese nation.
