A fire coursed through large sections of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris at 19:00 15th, April, which engulfed much of its roof and the central spire. An hour or so later, The Paris fire brigade was able to get the fire under control and workers could get some famous artwork out of the burning building. Besides, after the fire was knocked down, people held vigil outside the Cathedral Monday night. Tributes, memories and prayers were being offered from all over the world. “As night fell, the great west towers still stood against the sky, proud but vulnerable.” Said the Guardian.

The president Emmanuel Macron declared:” I am solemnly telling you tonight that this Cathedral will be rebuilt by all of us together. I’m committed to this, starting tomorrow, a national fundraising campaign to restore Notre Dame will be launched.”

The Notre Dame will be restored again, though we still feel pitiful for the sudden fire, we, and the world, will be on French people’s side.
