China launched the 2019 Military World Games in its inland metropolis of Wuhan on Oct 18th. With the joint effort made by both soldiers and volunteers and so on, China stood on top of the medal tally with 133 golds. Behind 133 golds, there are countless moving and inspiring stories whose significance is far more beyond the medal itself. Let’s review these unforgettable moments in the 2019 Military World Game.
10月18日，第七届世界军人运动会在中国武汉举行。在运动员与志愿者及众多台前幕后的工作人员的共同努力下，中国以133枚金牌位列世界第一。在这133块金牌的背后，是数不清的激奋人心的感人故事，这些故事远比奖牌本身更具有意义。让我们一起来回顾那些在军运会上的感人时刻。
1. “You are the best, girls!” To China Women National Volleyball Team.
The consequence of the volleyball match between Brazil and China finally came. It’s a pity that China lost and ranked second in the game. Though defeated, China Women National Volleyball Team won the hearts and applause of the audience. When our volleyball team went around the stadium, Chinese soldiers stood up altogether shouting with the most ardently feelings “You are the best! China Women Volleyball team!”. In response to the audience, the team members raised their right hands to salute. With tears in their eyes, everyone was deeply moved by the spirit of China Women National Volleyball Team.
1、“你们是最棒的，中国女排！”
中国与巴西的排球比赛拉下帷幕，中国队不敌巴西，屈居亚军。但虽败犹荣，中国女排赢得了现场观众热烈的掌声。当中国女排队员绕场一周谢场时，男军人们饱含感情地喊出“中国女排，你们最棒！”正应此景，女排队员们举起右手向军人们，观众们敬礼。现场的每一个人都被女排精神感动至热泪盈眶。
2. A One-person Race
Vermetten Edwin was the only athlete in the male handicapped 100m IT4 competition. Even if there are no competitors in the race, Edwin still tried his best to finish the race. People make progress by challenging themselves. Edwin lost his legs in a mission before but he never gave up. “I don’t want to give up. I have always regarded myself as a soldier and the thought will be living in my heart forever.” Edwin said. No one should ever have an excuse to give up before the last breath out of your lung.
2、一个人的赛场
韦尔梅特恩·埃德温是男子残障100米IT4比赛中的唯一运动员。尽管赛场上没有竞争对手，但他仍尽全力完成了比赛。人们总是在不断挑战自己中进步。埃德温在一次任务中失去了他的双腿，但他从不言弃。“我不想放弃，我一直把自己作为军人看待，在我心中永远活着一名军人。”他说。未到生命的最后一刻，我们都没有理由放弃自己。
3. Alternates Shared the Glory
There’s a group of people who had trained as hard as official players but most of the time they didn’t have the opportunities to participate in the match. They were alternates of the matches. Li Duoqi was one of the alternates of China Air Force pentathlon and she had the ability to compete with the champions. However, due to the fact that she was an alternate she couldn’t take part. An award ceremony was held by the team leader at the end of the competition and he hung the medals on Li’s chest. Tears rolled down her cheeks which reminds us of the spirit of Chinese athletes----Always be prepared.
3、荣耀与替补队员共享
有这样一群人，平日训练如正式队员一样艰苦，但却难有机会上场比赛。他们就是在比赛场后的替补队员。李多琦是中国空军五项全能的替补队员，她有能力与冠军较量，但却没有机会比赛。在比赛结束后，队长举办了一个颁奖仪式，当队长将全队的奖牌挂在她胸前时，李多琦忍不住流下了眼泪。时刻准备着的精神在运动员身上得到充分体现。
It is these touching stories that endow the medals with special meanings. Whether win or lose the games is not important. Only when we learn from the stories seriously can we realize that the friendship shared among other counties matters. Therefore, these stories met the aim of Military World Game: Share friendship, build up peace.
正是这些故事赋予了奖牌意义。比赛的输赢并不是最重要的,只有当我们认真地了解了这些故事才会明白真正重要的是各个国家之间建立的友谊。因此，这些故事都彰显了军运会的目的：增进友谊，推动和平。
